How to Add An Icon with a List of Businesses

Adding a List of Businesses in the Community App

Objective

This SOP outlines the steps to add a list of businesses


Notes
Use Cases:
  1. Community Apps: Adding a new category (Photographers, Event Center, etc)
  2. Resort Apps: Preferred Vendor Lists

Key Steps

 

Step 1: Create a New Category 0:02

  • Within the Admin Console, click "Add Item" to add a new category (Either from the Homescreen or within a Submenu)

  • Choose "Detail Page Listing" as the Type

  • Enter Title (e.g., 'Preferred Vendors').

  • Search for an appropriate icon for the category

  • Click Submit


Step 2: Add Individual Businesses 1:19

  • Click on the new category icon.

  • Select 'Add Item' to begin adding a business.

 

Step 3: Search for the Business 1:31

  • Start typing the name of the business in the search bar.

  • Choose the correct business from the list of options that appears.

 

Step 5: Add Business Information 1:45

  • If the business does not have a physical address or Google presence, collapse the Google search.

  • Manually enter the business name and any available contact information (phone number, website, email).

 

Step 6: Create Custom Action Buttons 2:09

  • If applicable, create a custom button for actions (e.g., 'Send Email').

  • Paste the appropriate email address into the button.

 

Step 7: Finalize and Submit the Business Entry 2:22

  • Search for and select an icon for the business.

  • Click 'Add Button' to finalize the custom action.

  • Click 'Submit' to add the business to your list.
