Calendar Import Setup 

Objective

This SOP outlines the steps to set up importing calendars into your managed calendars, ensuring a smooth integration of events from external sources.

Key Steps

 

1. Access Managed Calendars 0:00

  • Navigate to your managed calendars.

  • Select the calendar you wish to import events into.

 

2. Open Event Configuration 0:16

  • On the right side, locate and click the 'Event Config' button.

  • Select 'Calendar Import Config' from the dropdown.

 

3. Configure Import Settings 0:38

  • Enter a title for the import.

  • Choose the type of calendar to import from (WordPress, iCal, or Google Calendar).

  • Input the appropriate URL for the calendar.

4. Set Default Location and Audience 0:55

  • Decide if all events should have a default location or use the location from the import.

  • Set the default audience based on your event's audience settings.

 

5. Add Additional Calendars (if needed) 1:04

  • If you want to import multiple calendars, click 'Add Another Calendar'.

  • Fill in the required information for each additional calendar.

 

6. Review and Remove Calendars 1:15

  • Review the list of calendars you have set to import.

  • To remove a calendar, click the trash can icon.

  • Choose whether to stop syncing while keeping current events or to delete them.

 

7. Submit Import Configuration 1:35

  • Once all settings are configured, click 'Submit'.

  • Note that events will start populating in your calendar every 15 minutes.

 

8. Syncing Events 1:53

  • The system will sync with the original calendar every 15 minutes.

  • Any changes made in the source calendar will be reflected in your app.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Regularly check the sync status to ensure events are importing correctly.

  • Use descriptive titles for each calendar import to easily identify them later.
