Push Notifications 3 - How to send a Personal Push Notification

When sending a "Personal" push notification, you are opening the chat feature between the guest and your community.  Any recipient of a personal notification must be logged into the app.

Steps to send a Personal Push Notification:

Click the Notifications / Messages Icon on your homescreen
Click the 'Send Notification" button (on the right side)



Required Information

Enter Title
Enter Description
Click "Personal Notification"
Click into Search for User bar to find the recipient of the message

Reminder - In order for a user to appear to be a recipient of a personal Push Notification, they must be logged into the app.

Dates and Scheduling


Effective Time: Optional Field referring to the time the push notification refers to (typically the description will cover this information)

End Time: Recommend this entered - As of the "End Time", the message will automatically clear from the users in-box. This will keep the in-box current for your users.


Additional Information

Check the box of any attachments to the push notification
Use Case: Personal Notification Examples: Packages have arrived, forms due, etc.

CHAT FEATURE:

After sending a personal push notification, the user can respond appropriately.  A second tab appears in their "Messages" section called "Private Messages" and a chat window appears.




Note: The Administrator who SENT the personal push notification will receive the responses from the User and be able to respond accordingly via the app.
