Remote Administration Access Procedure

Objective

This SOP outlines the steps to grant remote administration access to users for specific areas of the app without providing full access to the admin console.

Key Steps


1. Granting Access via Detail Page 0:00

  • Navigate to the remote administration detail page.

  • Check the box for 'Allow Remote Administration'.

  • Set the desired privileges for the user (e.g., edit information, add buttons, send push notifications).

 

2. Sending Access via URL 1:10

  • Enter the user's name (e.g., Rose Dumig).

  • Select 'URL' as the access method.

  • Click 'Copy Link' to copy the remote management link.

  • Click 'Submit' to save the access.

  • Email the copied link to the user.

 

3. Adding Multiple Users 1:39

  • Click 'Add Additional Access' to grant access to more users.

  • Repeat the process for each additional user.

 

4. Updating Permissions 2:56

  • To change permissions, click on 'Update Permissions'.

  • Choose to revoke access or replace the URL as needed.

 

5. Granting Access via Email Login 3:55

  • Check the box for 'Allow Remote Management'.

  • Enter the user's name and email address.

  • Set the desired privileges for the user.

 

6. User Management Overview 4:46

  • Navigate to 'User Management' to view users with access.

  • Users with a star have full admin console access.

 

7. Setting Password for New Users 7:37

  • Click on the pencil icon next to the user to edit.

  • Set a password for the user and click 'Change Password'.

 

8. Emailing Login Information 8:29

  • Email the user the Admin Console link along with their username and password.

 

9. Managing Access to Calendars 9:57

  • Access calendars by clicking 'Event Config'.

  • Follow the same steps as for detail pages to grant access.

 

10. Removing Admin Access 10:22

  • To remove an admin, click the trash can icon next to their name.

Cautionary Notes

  • Ensure that you have the correct email address for the user before sending access.

  • Always click 'Submit' after making changes to save the settings.

  • The Email Address for each is the base for the account.  If a different name is entered for the same email address, the original name entered will be the one displayed.
